Water Filtration

Home Water Filters

Home water filters are devices used to remove impurities and contaminants from tap water, making it safe and healthy for drinking, cooking, and other household uses. They are available in different types, including countertop filters, under-sink filters, pitcher filters, and whole-house filters. Home water filters can remove a wide range of impurities, such as sediment, chlorine, bacteria, heavy metals, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Countertop filters and pitcher filters are designed for small households and are easy to install and use. Under-sink filters are installed under the sink and are ideal for households with limited counter space. Whole-house filters are installed at the point where the water enters the house and are designed to filter all the water used in the house.

Water Softener

A water softener is a device used to remove minerals that cause hardness from the water supply in a home or building. Hard water is characterized by high levels of minerals such as calcium and magnesium, which can cause scaling, soap scum, and other problems in plumbing and appliances. A water softener works by replacing the calcium and magnesium ions with sodium ions, which do not cause hardness.

Water softeners are typically installed at the point where the water enters the house and consist of a resin tank, a brine tank, and a control valve. The resin tank contains resin beads that attract and exchange the hardness ions for sodium ions. The brine tank contains a salt solution that is used to regenerate the resin beads periodically. The control valve regulates the flow of water and initiates the regeneration process when needed.

Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System

A reverse osmosis drinking water system is a type of water filtration system that uses a semipermeable membrane to remove impurities from the water supply. Reverse osmosis works by forcing water through a membrane that allows only water molecules to pass through, while blocking other particles, such as minerals, salts, and contaminants.

A typical reverse osmosis system consists of a pre-filter to remove sediment and other larger particles, a membrane filter to remove impurities, and a post-filter to improve taste and odor. The system also includes a storage tank to store the purified water, a faucet to dispense the purified water, and a drain line to dispose of the waste water.

Reverse osmosis systems are highly effective in removing a wide range of impurities, including sediment, chlorine, fluoride, lead, arsenic, nitrates, and bacteria. They are also easy to install and use, and can provide a continuous supply of clean and safe drinking water for the household.
